ALPHA FAQs

We are excited to offer Alpha at Eastridge and are confident that you will love it! At its core, Alpha is about deepening your understanding of the Christian faith. But it’s enhanced with dedicated time to build relationships, as well as time to discuss and ask questions about each topic.

Check out our FAQs below for all the details and to find out if you should attend Alpha. (Hint: The answer is yes!)

What is Alpha?

What is Alpha?

Alpha is an 11-week discipleship program exploring the Christian faith. Each talk explores a different topic about faith and is designed to create conversation. We will eat a meal together, listen to a talk, then have group discussion and time for questions.

Is Alpha for me?

Can I bring a friend with me who doesn’t attend church?

Can I bring a friend with me who doesn’t attend church?

Yes! We would actually love to see everyone bring a friend with them. Alpha is the perfect introduction to church and Christianity…so invite that friend who’s been interested in church but hasn’t made it yet.

When and where does Alpha meet?

When and where does Alpha meet?

Alpha will meet Wednesdays starting January 15 through April 1, 2020 at both our campuses. In both Issaquah and West Seattle we’re offering co-ed groups from 6:30-8:30pm. All groups include a free dinner (or brunch) for both the adults and kids.

What if I can’t make it on time?

What if I can’t make it on time?

We understand that sometimes it’s difficult to get out the door and to church on time. By providing dinner we hope to make that transition easier for you! We’ll start dinner at 6:30pm each week and the ministry programming at 7pm. The dinner portion is just as important as the ministry, as this is a time to build relationships and simply catch up with people. So we encourage you to try your hardest to arrive at 6:30pm. But if you can’t make it until 7pm, that’s ok and you will still have a powerful time of learning!

So, a meal is included?

So, a meal is included?

That’s right! (And it’s totally free!) We’re cooking dinner for everyone that’s coming to Alpha (brunch for the morning session)…the adults and kids!

What about my kids?

What about my kids?

We’ve got them covered with fun ministry that will grow their faith, too! Be sure to arrive a few minutes early so that you can check them in and get to Alpha on time.

What about my teenagers?

What about my teenagers?

We’ve got them covered, too! On Wednesday evenings in Issaquah, drop them off for Youth Church at our Student Center before heading to the campus for Alpha. In West Seattle, bring them along with you to participate in Alpha!
