CHANGE the World

YOU’RE HERE FOR A REASON

We’re glad you’re reading this, and we know that it isn’t by accident. Our desire is to help people come to life and to experience the radical grace that God offers through a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. God in the flesh. Savior King. Messiah. The One who loves you so much He died, rose again & made possible a brand new reality of freedom, hope & new beginnings. He’s the Hero of The Story. Here’s a short video explaining more.

WHAT’S MY PURPOSE?

God created you and me to know and worship Him. He desires that we live in community and relationship with others, encouraging each other to walk closer with God, being led by the Holy Spirit. We were created to find our purpose and ultimately change the world by sharing the Gospel and God’s love with those around us.

THERE’S A PROBLEM

God has great purpose for us, but there’s a problem. In order to go to heaven, we have to be perfect. And sadly, we are imperfect and make mistakes every single day. When we disobey God’s Word, that’s called sin and it separates us from God.

“For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.” (James 2:10)

And because of our sin, we are spiritually dead and separated from God, unable to experience His purposes as we are. In fact, if we remain as we are, as unforgiven sinners, we will spend eternity apart from God in hell.

THERE’S A SOLUTION

So if I’m a sinner, how can I go to heaven? Good question! We have sinned, we’ve lost our way, and we’re sentenced to death as a result, but God is love and God loves us too deeply to leave us lost. Instead, He took the initiative to send His only Son, Jesus, to be our Savior, our Rescuer, our Redeemer. Jesus died for us. God knew that we needed to be forgiven and that we needed someone to take the punishment that we deserve for our sins. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, took the punishment we deserved and died on a cross.

“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:17)

But Jesus did more than just die on the cross, three days later God raised Him from the grave. He conquered death! Jesus’ resurrection revealed that He was the Son of God and validated who He said he is. And because Jesus paid for our sin, He offers us forgiveness, a fresh start, a clean slate. He offers us new life in Himself!

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:4-5 ESV)

WHAT NOW?

In order to live out God’s purpose for you, not only during your life on earth, but for all of eternity in heaven, you must respond to what Jesus has done for you on the cross. God doesn’t force people to turn to Him and become His children, but He lovingly and openly adopts into His eternal family anyone and everyone who comes to Him by faith in Jesus.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

We can’t earn our salvation. Jesus offers it to us as a free gift, but first we must accept that gift. To do that, we must turn away from our sins and trust in Him, what He has done for us on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. When we do that, we can not only live an eternity with our Creator who loves us, but we can also live in relationship with Him. There is nothing better!

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved… For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:9, 13 ESV)

You can express this belief in a simple prayer, offered from a sincere heart…

Dear God, thank you for having greater purposes for my life. I acknowledge that I have failed to live for you on my own and that I have sinned against you. But I believe that Jesus Christ, Your only Son, died to pay for my sins and rose again from the dead so that I could trust in Him as my Savior and have eternal life. I receive Jesus today as my Savior and commit to live the rest of my life for Him and for Your glory! Amen.
