WHAT WE TEACH

In an early childhood setting everything that happens – each interaction, conversation and question posed – offers engaging possibilities for learning. Our teachers plan experiences for your child that offers opportunities across all of the learning domains. In each of ou classrooms we focus on emotional and social development, diversity, language and literacy, mathematics and science, visual arts, music, physical development and sensory learning, health and safety, and Bible curriculum.

INFANTS

6 WEEKS-12 MONTHS

In our Infant Room, the babies are growing, learning and are changing every day, and our goal is to keep them as healthy and safe as possible. Our infant room teachers care for each baby based on an their individual schedule, including feeding and sleeping. They also set bi-weekly goals for each baby in order to support their developmental needs as they grow whether it’s learning to sit up, grasp toys, start eating solids and even learn to walk. They are taught at a young age that they are important and loved through social interactions, books, music and fun!

YOUNG TODDLERS

12-18 MONTHS

Our Rainbows Classroom are our youngest toddler group; these children are learning to be more mobile and steady on their feet, who need a well-planned environment with developmentally appropriate toys and stimulation. Before transitioning into this room, children are weaned off bottles and transitioned to taking one nap per day.

TODDLERS

18-24 MONTHS

In our Blazing Comets Classroom introduces the children child to self-help skills and developmentally appropriate activities such as painting, music, movement, socialization, and experimenting with various sensory activities. All of our classrooms follow a daily schedule that ensures each day be spent on developmentally appropriate and stimulating activities. While we usually follow a routine, we also take into consideration the mood and interests of the children on any given day.

24-30 MONTHS

Our staff in our Snowflakes Classroom support the children as they become more independent, through self-help skills and developmentally appropriate activities such as painting, music, movement, socialization, and experimenting with various sensory activities. All of our classrooms follow a daily schedule that ensures each day be spent on developmentally appropriate and stimulating activities. While we usually follow a routine, we also take into consideration the mood and interests of the children on any given day.

PRESCHOOL

30 MONTHS-5 YEARS

In our Preschool classrooms we provide an environment that will excite their natural desire to learn, try new things, make friends and have fun! At this age we focus on: social-emotional Development by teaching each child healthy and effective ways to communicate with their peers, giving them language and balanced choices help children to develop positive social interaction skills. We also offer free choice center play where they can discover and develop new skills and experiences. We teach them concepts such as letter and number recognition, shapes, colors and problem solving skills.

PRE-K

As Kindergarten is around the corner for our Pre-K students we focus on getting them ready for that next step. During the school year we encourage independent thinking and cooperative. We introduce a variety of foundational concepts, such as, one-to-one correspondence, patterns, sorting, number meaning and recognition and counting using Ten Frame. Children will also have the chance to develop basic writing skills, letter meaning and recognition by using Handwriting Without Tears, new to our program this year. For children turning 4 by August 31, 2021.

ALL DAY CLASS

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

4-HOUR CLASS

The 5 Day Pre-K class offers a shorter school day with an equally challenging curriculum to our full-day option.

Monday-Friday 9:00am-1:00pm (August-May only)

KINDERGARTEN

We offer an engaging, hands-on full-day kindergarten program from 9:00-3:15 pm. Our curriculum aligns with the Issaquah and Lake Washington School Districts. Classroom size is limited to 15 students with two teachers. This provides an environment for individualized instruction to build on your child’s strengths and as a result we see our students make huge academic gains by the end of the school year. We spend a significant portion of our day devoted to STEM, have a wonderful Christian foundation for our learning, and are in pursuit of academic excellence in our kindergarten program. For children who turn 5 by August 31, 2021.

Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:15pm (August-May only)
Tuition is $1,150 per month. Non-refundable registration fee is $500.

**Enrollment begins February 8, 2021. Students currently enrolled at the Childcare & Learning Center will have first priority to be assessed for enrollment into Kindergarten.**
